12 Days / 11 Nights

Arrive at Casablanca airport, the economic capital of Morocco and its largest city. Warm reception by your English speaking driver/guide, then transfer to the hotel. Check in at your hotel to relax. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Optional dinner. Overnight in Casablanca.

After breakfast we will collect you from your hotel to visit the Mosque of Hassan II before departing to the capital city Rabat. In Rabat you can visit to the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. After lunch we will depart to Meknes to arrive early in the evening.

After breakfast we will take a tour of Meknes including El Hdim square, Bab Lkhmis the literal meaning of the name is the Thursday door or gate in Arabic, in reference to the weekly market or Souk, Bab El Mansour, the massive gate which is the entrance to the old city and the Jewish quarter, the Royal Granaries & the city rampart. We will then continue to Volubilis, it is an ancient Roman city located near Meknes in Morocco. Volubilis is known for its well-preserved archaeological remains, including impressive Roman ruins such as triumphal arches, basilicas, and stunning mosaics. and Moulay Idriss, is a town in northern Morocco, near the city of Meknes. It is named after Moulay Idriss I, a prominent figure in Moroccan history and considered the founder of the Idrisid dynasty. Moulay Idriss I arrived in the area in the 8th century, bringing Islam to Morocco. the holy town. We will continue on to Fes, also spelled Fez, is one of the most well-known and culturally rich cities in Morocco. It holds historical, religious, and educational significance and is often referred to as the country’s spiritual and cultural capitals . Dinner and accommodation at your hotel.

You will have a guided tour to discover the the The Royal Palace in Fes, Morocco, is a significant landmark and an example of traditional Moroccan architecture. The Royal Palace in Fes is not generally open to the public, but visitors can still appreciate its grandeur from the outside. The Mellah is the historic Jewish quarter in many Moroccan cities, and Fes is no exception. The medina is a maze of narrow, winding streets and alleys, home to various souks, traditional crafts, and historic landmarks. University of Al Quaraouiyine Established in 859 AD, the University of Al Quaraouiyine in Fes is considered the oldest continuously operating educational institution in the world, according to Guinness World Records. Bou Inania Madrasa is one of the most well-preserved madrasas (Islamic schools) in Fes, known for its intricate architecture and decoration.The Tannery of Fes is renowned for its leather products, and the Chouara Tannery is one of the oldest tanneries in the world. Visitors can observe the traditional leather-dyeing process from balconies overlooking the vats. Bab Bou Jeloud Also known as the Blue Gate, it serves as one of the main entrances to the old city and is a notable architectural landmark. The tour will include a visit to the ceramics cooperative to see the traditional moroccan crafts.

 

Your driver will meet you at your riad or hotel at 8:00a.m., depart and transport (8 hours) over the Middle Atlas mountains through the ceder forests of Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco) Ifrane is a town located in the Middle Atlas region of Morocco. It is known for its distinctive European alpine-style architecture, making it stand out from the typical Moroccan urban landscape, Azrou, Midelt and the Ziz valley towards Sahara, until the Erg Chebbi dunes appear on the horizon, after relaxing few minuts in Merzouga, we go to the camels who are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in an equipped camp with drums music in the middle of the Sahara, we go to a high dunes to see the sunset, we will spend the night in nomad tents.

We will wake up early to see the spectacular sunrise over the dunes before making our way back to the hotel for a shower. and After breakfast heading to Khamlia village to enjoy live Gnawa music, continue through an off-road to have a tour of sand dunes then stop to have a tea with nomads in berber tents you will discover a new sence of life, from there back to the hotel.

This morning you’ll travel through the remote volcanic Saghro Massif to Tinehir. Along the way you can visit a fossil workshop for a closer look at Sahara’s wonderful varieties of ancient life. and later we will have free time to walk around the “gorges”, to enjoy the river and the fabulous views. overnight in the hotel.

After breakfast meet with your driver and exploring destinations in south of Morocco, including Todgha Gorge, Dades Valley, Kelaa Megouna, Ouarzazate, and Ait Ben Haddou, Marokko reizen offers a diverse and captivating journey through the country. Here’s an overview of each destination:

Dades Valley Known for its striking red-rock formations, picturesque oases, and the Dades Gorge. The area offers opportunities for trekking and exploring traditional Berber villages. 

Kelaa Megouna (Valley of Roses) Famous for rose cultivation and the production of rose-related products. The annual Rose Festival is a vibrant celebration. Visitors can explore rose gardens and learn about traditional rosewater production.

Ouarzazate Often called the « Gateway to the Sahara, » in the Draa-Tafilalet region, Known for the Taourirt Kasbah, Ait Ben Haddou, and the Atlas Film Studios. Ouarzazate is a hub for exploring desert landscapes and is often used as a filming location for movies and TV series.

Ait Ben Haddou A well-preserved kasbah (fortified village) with ancient mud-brick architecture. It has been featured in numerous films, and the panoramic views from the hilltop are stunning. overnight in the Kasbah hotel. 

Today you’ll explore the World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou. The village of clustered Berber Kasbahs has been used as a backdrop for more than 20 films and was one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road where caravans brought slaves, gold, ivory and salt from Saharan Africa to Marrakech and beyond. Back in the car, you’ll follow the old Salt Road camel caravan route toward Telouet to visit the old Glaoui kasbah. This was once a beautiful palace but now stands crumbling to ruins because no one wants to remember “the vulture” sultan and his son “Thami” who lived here until the 1950’s. After lunch descend the High Atlas mountains Tichka pass to Marrakech, with time to stop and enjoy impressive landscapes over coffee . Arrive in Marrakech at 6 pm.

 

After breakfast, we explore Marrakech’s historical sites: Menara Gardens, Koutoubia Minaret, Saadian Tombs, and the Bahia Palace. Tour the walls of the old medina, Agdal Gardens, the new Sueliz district, the markets, and the famous Djemaa el Fna Square. The famous square – the size of a football field -is as it was 500 years ago: storytellers, vendors of Magic potions, dancers, snake charmers, and acrobats. Dinner, Hotel.

Free day in Marrakech during the morning and in the afternoon Transfer to Casablanca to over night in the hotel.

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to Casablanca airport for your flight back home.
